I was born and raised in Montesano, Washington, whereupon shortly after high school in 1957, I joined the US Army. I graduated from Southern Oregon College, 1963-BS in Secondary Education; and then Oregon State University, 1968-MS in Public Administration and Natural Resources.

Professionally I have worked in Land Use Planning and City Management both in Oregon and Alaska. I retired from the Army in 1997 with combined Active and Reserve service in Logistics and Civil Affairs after 40 years + 1 month of service with a rank of Chief Warrant Officer (CW 4).

I am President of Willamette Convocation.

I was appointed “Diocese Archives and Historian” by Bishop Ladihoff in 2002.

I have been married for 46 years; have two grown daughters and two almost grown grandsons and one cat named Buddy.
