The Altar Guild is responsible for preparing the altar for services; caring for the linen vestments, hangings, silver, etc., and helping coordinate the services.
The guild is split into teams that rotate: one week of duties and three weeks off. Each team is responsible for all necessary cleaning and services during their week.
All the teams combine during Christmas and Easter seasons to cover all of the duties during those busy times. One member's time commitment during their team's duty week is in the general neighborhood of three to five hours.
A member can volunteer for additional committees such as wedding, funerals, or coordinating the Easter or Christmas seasons. Meetings are held several times; in the Fall, and prior to Christmas and Easter. We welcome parishioners to join us in this rewarding ministry.
St. Anne's Guild meets at 1:00 pm the third Monday of each month excluding July, August, and December. The Guild has been in exsistence for over 50 years and has focused on fellowship and outreach to both the church and community. St. Anne's provides receptions for memorial services and the proceeds from this ministry are the primary source of our monies to be given to organizations in need. We welcome anyone interested in joining St. Anne's for the purpose of Christian fellowship and reaching out to others.
From September through June, this group meets at 1:00 pm the first Tuesday of each month. Their main service project is a rummage sale held every May and October to raise money for various projects.
This men’s group gathers every Wednesday morning to chop firewood as well as to enjoy the fresh air and each other’s company. The wood is sold to raise money for church needs.
St. Paul’s Music Guild is the cornerstone of financial support for Evensong services and concerts at St. Paul’s Church. The mission of the guild is to enable the continuation of the great heritage of Anglican Evensong worship along with programs of music outreach to the Salem community. Patronage comes from both inside and outside the Parish.
