Giving Back

We thank God for the blessing of family and friends, and for the loving care which surrounds us on every side. We thank God for setting us at tasks which demand our best efforts, and for leading us to accomplishments which satisfy and delight us. (From the Book of Common Prayer, page 836)

    Pallet Houses

We at St. Paul’s are embarking on a new ministry to help our homeless neighbors. St. Paul’s has dedicated $5,000 in matching funds to build two Pallet houses to serve as transitional housing for the homeless in Salem. In March, the Salem City Council voted to create an outdoor site on 2640 Portland Road NE featuring 20 of the 64-square-foot shelters. Click here to read the recent article about the program. The Pallet house communities are managed by Church @ the Park, which provides security, safe parking spots, and services to connect people to permanent housing and programs. Please consider participating as you can in acting on your concern for those in need by sending a check in any amount to St. Paul’s, and letting us know it is to go toward the Pallet houses. We will bless the gifts on Christmas Eve, in honor of our Lord who was born without a home where he could lay his head. Online donations can be made to the Pallet House fund on our website here. Please select this fund from the drop-down menu to ensure your donation is designated as intended.

    Giving Time & Talent

We offer our time and gifts to the church and beyond. There are ways to give of time, talent, and treasure so that people might know the love of God offered through your generosity.

    Giving Treasure

God’s gifts are abundant, and we share joyfully with others. Giving helps us grow in our faith.
