We at St. Paul’s are embarking on a new ministry to help our homeless neighbors. St. Paul’s has dedicated $5,000 in matching funds to build two Pallet houses to serve as transitional housing for the homeless in Salem. In March, the Salem City Council voted to create an outdoor site on 2640 Portland Road NE
featuring 20 of the 64-square-foot shelters. Click here
to read the recent article about the program. The Pallet house communities are managed by Church @ the Park
, which provides security, safe parking spots, and services to connect people to permanent housing and programs. Please consider participating as you can in acting on your concern for those in need by sending a check in any amount to St. Paul’s, and letting us know it is to go toward the Pallet houses. We will bless the gifts on Christmas Eve, in honor of our Lord who was born without a home where he could lay his head. Online donations can be made to the Pallet House fund on our website here
